Manheim makes heavyweight appointments to digital retail services business
In positioning itself firmly as the expert in the UK vehicle market, with the ability to provide customers with insights across the entire wholesale and retail sectors, Manheim has made two key senior management appointments.
Allison Nau joins as Head of Data Intelligence for Manheim UK, operating in a group-wide capacity, while Julian Wheway has become Product Director for Manheim Retail Services, which provides a full range of digital products and services to vehicle manufacturers and car dealers.
Allison benefits from a strong background in analytics, business development, product development and R&D. Her most recent role was as Product Director for LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a leading provider of risk analysis and management information, including to the insurance industry. Allison was with the company for seven years, spending four of those in New York City before helping grow the business in the UK.
Julian arrives at Manheim with significant experience in proposition and product development, delivering sustainable multi-million pound annual revenue performance in previous roles. Having started his own business in the late 1990s, building websites for SMEs, a major PLC and a national vehicle retailer, he developed a strong client base around web design, development and consulting.
After acting as Internet Solutions Manager for The Listers Group within the automotive industry, including establishing a web development department for 40 sites and 1,500 users, and a website with ground-breaking car sales functionality, Julian joined the Monarch Group, working with the company for four years and joining Manheim from his most recent role as Head of Product & Innovation at Monarch Airlines.
Martin Forbes, managing director for Manheim Retail Services, into whom both Allison and Julian now report, said: “Manheim is entering a very interesting and incredibly exciting period in its history, as we begin to truly unlock the combined potential of our businesses in the UK, as well as those that form part of the global Cox Automotive organisation alongside us. It’s fantastic to welcome both Allison and Julian to Manheim, who are both strategically positioned to be key players in helping to accelerate business growth.”
