Weekly trucks update with Terry Stout - 17th June 2015

Well what a week, some very exciting news to be shared again. Wednesday at Shotts and the sale was stirring up some real interest. Their HGV sale is building very well and has great physical and online buyer crowds. Activity peaked for their show stoppers which were direct leasing company; three 2007 Mercedes Axor 1824 4x4 Tippers with snow plough specification, low kilometres selling for extremely good values.

On Thursday Leeds had a good number of units around them entered for their HGV sale, and what a fantastic result. A very strong audience of buyers, both in the hall and online. We sold direct entries including three 2010 Renault Premium 460DXI tractor units. They sold under the hammer as did two 2007 Mercedes Axor 1823 Thermoking fridge boxes. There was a very good blend of trucks allowing a mixed buyer base, with more money on average being spent than normal. The sale also saw some new faces who were bidding strongly for a selection of 2003 Don-Bur tandem box semi-trailers. We fast tracked their buyer account applications and they were live within the hour. Job done, they were paid for immediately and taken away the same day. What an easy process and very satisfied customers.
There are high volumes around nationwide of these particular trailers, yet we are chipping away at these nicely.
