John Matthews, the RAA’s Business Development Director, commented: “Following a six month tender process, the RAA has re-established vehicle auction as a Core Programme with Manheim as its Principal Partner. We have enjoyed a close and effective relationship for over a decade and the new deal means our growing membership will enjoy an improved and simplified package from Manheim which will enable us to better leverage the considerable RAA volume and make full use of their service proposition.”
With a turnover of £2.7 billion, the RAA is among the top 5 UK motor retailers so is a key client for Manheim and the relationship is managed by James Leese, Group Sales Director for Manheim Remarketing, and Gerry Whittington, Group Account Director and its executive sponsor.
Gerry added: “We are delighted to be continuing our well-established relationship with a fantastic automotive brand that is hugely respected in the automotive retail sector.
The vehicles sold by the RAA’s members are always hotly fought over and attract enormous amounts of buyer interest.
The car sales programme for the RAA will take place at Birmingham, Bristol, Colchester, Leeds, Manchester, Mansfield, Plymouth, Washington and Wimbledon. Commercial vehicle sales will run at Colchester, Gloucester, Haydock, Mansfield, Plymouth and Washington.
