Marshall Mega-Week to return in April
Marshall Mega-Week to return in April, Manheim confirms
Manheim Auction Services has announced the return of its popular Marshall Mega-Week, to be held across five days from Monday 12th April to Friday 16th April. The event is usually held twice a year, with this year’s marking the 11th time Manheim has held an event dedicated to auctioning stock from across Marshall Motor Group’s 113 dealerships.
The Marshall Mega-Week event gained traction over recent years at Manheim auctions, with previous iterations seeing more than 1,000 units on offer.
April 2021’s Marshall Mega-Week will once again see hundreds of high-quality vehicles pass through five of Manheim’s auction sites in Bristol, Northampton, Wimbledon, Colchester and Mansfield. The auctions will take place digitally, utilising Manheim’s online Simulcast platform, to adhere to COVID restrictions and ensure the safety of all staff and customers.
Jon Head, Operations Director at Marshall Motor Group, said: “For obvious reasons we couldn’t turn 2020 into another record-breaking year - the April event didn’t take place and October’s event took place digitally, just like our upcoming event. Despite this, the October event was a huge success with a high volume of cars sold through the Simulcast platform.
“We have since increased the number of cars to put through Manheim’s five auctions in April, and hope buyers will enjoy the enhanced choice of quality used vehicles.”
James Leese, Chief Customer Officer for Cox Automotive Europe, said: “While April 12th is the date in which car showrooms and all non-essential retail can reopen, the health and safety of team members and customers remains top priority – hence running April’s Marshall Mega-Week as an online only event.
“Holding the auctions during the first week of lifted restrictions for the motor trade will hopefully generate great results. We’ve also received great feedback from customers who have used our Simulcast platform to purchase from Manheim auctions.”
