Manheim wins Best Auction House in Automotive Trade ‘Oscars’

Manheim reigned victorious in the 10th Car Dealer Power Awards in a high profile ceremony at Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower.

The company won the prestigious ‘Auction House of the Year’ Award at the annual honours, which are seen as the Oscars of the Motor Trade.

James Baggott, Founder and CEO of Car Dealer Magazine, said: “Tonight’s category winner really shows that it’s on the dealer’s side, keeping up to date with technology and constantly developing its offering to keep ahead of the pack.”

The 10th annual Car Dealer Power awards took place at Portsmouth’s iconic Spinnaker Tower, with a black-tie dinner overlooking the city’s famous harbour. Backed by Car Dealer magazine, the UK’s leading motor trade publication, the awards are unique in that they are subject to a wholly independent judging process.

Each award is presented on the back of votes from those in the dealer network, recognising the best suppliers and franchise options for their businesses, via an online questionnaire.

James Baggott, added: “Car Dealer Power started way back in 2010, in the very infancy of Car Dealer Magazine, with awards were designed to celebrate the businesses and car manufacturers that treat their dealers as true partners.

“We knew there were many firms out there that worked with dealerships to help them improve their businesses and we wanted to give dealers the chance to tell us who these good guys were.

“And that’s what makes these awards so unique - they’re the only ones in the industry that are voted for entirely by those in the motor trade themselves, which makes it a great honour for each category winner.”
