Manheim and CarShop celebrating 20 year partnership

This week will see Manheim and CarShop hold a week of special auctions to mark their 20-year business partnership, with the very first CarShop auction programme launching at Manheim way back in July 1999.

The week-long celebration will include special anniversary auctions at Manheim A1 Knottingley, Leeds, Bristol, and Northampton, with spot prizes available for CarShop buyers.

As part of the celebrations Manheim will raise money for CarShop’s chosen charity, ‘Global’s Make Some Noise’, which supports a number of fantastic small charities around the country that don’t have access to government funding.

The Manheim team will offer four donated vehicles at auction, with all proceeds going to the charity, and donate £1 for every CarShop vehicle sold during the week.

Peter Bell, Managing Director of Manheim, said: “A 20 year partnership with a customer is really special, and together we’ve built an extremely successful auction programme with a strong buyer following.”

“CarShop extended its relationship with us for a further two years back in January, so I look forward to seeing our partnership continue to grow from strength to strength.”

James Dunkley, Commercial Director – CarShop, said: “We have enjoyed a long and successful partnership with both Manheim and the wider Cox Automotive Group and look forward to many more years of collaboration. I have to give our Head of Disposals, Paul Christodoulou, a special mention as he has played a major part in making this partnership work having managed our relationship with Manheim since day one!”

“Giving back to the community is extremely important to both CarShop and Manheim, and I’m delighted that we’re supporting ‘Make Some Noise’ as part of our anniversary celebrations.”
