Marshall and Manheim sign new three-year deal
Marshall Motor Group has agreed a new, three-year deal with global vehicle remarketing provider, Manheim. The multi-site, multi-franchise dealer group will dispose of around 25,000 vehicles per year across six sales through five Manheim auction centres, operating five days per week. The new contract, which takes the partnership until the end of 2022, sees the two organisations enter their second decade of working together.
For the past 10 years, Marshall Motor Group has trusted Manheim to manage its vehicle remarketing activities. The latest deal will see the dealer group’s vehicles arrive at Manheim Bristol, Northampton, Wimbledon, Colchester and Mansfield, as well as via Dealer Auction – meaning Marshall Motor Group is achieving the High Five of selling five days a week, across five different Manheim centres.
Jon Head, Commercial Director at Marshall Motor Group, said of the deal: “We have a strong set of core values about how we operate and the organisations we work alongside. We focus on integrity, fairness and doing the right thing; we put our customers first; recognise that people are at the heart of our success; and maintain competitive edge through innovation and creativity. It is important to us, therefore, that any suppliers and partners also embody those values.
“Over the past decade of working together, Manheim has shown a consistent and fair approach which has put us, its customer, at the forefront of decision-making. They live by similar values to us and there is a strong cultural fit – we are working towards the same goals in a consistent way. We have achieved great success together and are confident that this new deal, which provides us with further tailored, innovative and creative solutions, will help us to meet our business objectives in the years to come.”
James Leese, Chief Customer Officer at Manheim parent Cox Automotive, added: “It’s great to see our partnership with Marshall Motor Group go from strength-to-strength, and particularly to recognise the success the organisation has had in recent years. Growing the number of Marshall sales is a significant achievement, while we also add value for the retail network via other businesses within the Cox Automotive family, including our vehicle delivery operation Movex.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has obviously meant we are having to work differently with our customers. Our online programme of Simulcast auctions for Marshall has been very successful over the last couple of months, with most vehicles meeting their reserve price and conversion rates exceeding expectations. We have also just welcomed their new site ‘Marshall VW Aylesbury’ to our Manheim Wimbledon site.
“We are committed to ensuring our outstanding remarketing services remain relevant, efficient and effective despite these challenging times. We look forward to continuing to attract strong buyer interest for Marshall Motor Group at Bristol, Northampton, Wimbledon, Colchester and Mansfield.”
