Murray Group returns to Manheim for remarketing
Murray Group, the family-owned dealer group in the South-West of England, has returned to Manheim Auction Services for its vehicle remarketing.
The two companies have signed a new agreement that will see Manheim become the solus remarketer of choice, handling stock from six franchised rooftops in Devon, with volume going into Manheim Plymouth each week. The agreement will see between 1,500 - 2,000 units handled by Manheim over a 12-month period.
A specialist in Volkswagen, ŠKODA, Kia, Hyundai and MG, Murray Group has returned to Manheim after a period of five years away. A key factor in the decision was Manheim’s recent reopening of physical auctions as part of its new extensive hybrid sales programme, in the UK. Manheim announced its refreshed car and LCV nationwide auction sales programme in September, which saw the company offer over 120 auctions per month from 10 locations, and with stock from over 1,000 vendor sources.
Kevin Murray, managing director, Murray Group, commented: “Moving our remarketing back to Manheim feels like returning home after a few years away. Many of the same contacts are still in the business and their customer service remains outstanding. The fact that Manheim has resumed physical auctions alongside online was also a huge appeal to us. As a vendor, you just can’t beat the feeling of having people in the hall.”
Included in the new agreement is eVA, a market-leading vehicle valuations tool from Cox Automotive, which provides more than 99% valuation accuracy. eVA will replace an incumbent valuations tool currently being used by Murray Group from early December, with the first batch of stock going live at auction on 7th December, when more than 50 vehicles will be made available.
Liam Quegan, managing director of Manheim Auction Services, commented: “It’s always a moment to celebrate every time a customer returns to Manheim and we’re delighted to welcome back Murray Group.”
