Cox Automotive’s Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS) has put pen to paper on a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) deal with Vindis, fulfilling services across their Volkswagen Group portfolio.
The 12-month contract will see MVS experts at their new PDI facility in Wyton, Cambridgeshire, handle more than 6,500 brand-new vehicles for inspection, storage and onward distribution. It will ensure Vindis Group Fleet customers take delivery of new, ready-for-the-road vehicles.
Sam Panayides, Sales Director at Cox Automotive, said, " Vindis is a premier league dealership group with whom we already have a solid working relationship through Manheim Auction Services.
“Our PDI centre at Wyton underwent a thorough audit to ensure we could meet their expectation and I’m pleased to say that we passed with flying colours. With several of the Vindis team on site, this has been a collaborative effort to get over the line.
“I am delighted that we have completed this deal, as Vindis's unmistakable focus on providing a personal touch and professional service mirrors our approach. Our team have provided exactly the bespoke PDI service Vindis sought, and their feedback so far has been wholly positive.”
Family-run new and used car dealership group Vindis was launched in 1960 by Second World War Czech Spitfire pilot Frank Vindis. Its network of dealerships spans six counties and represents Audi, Bentley, Ducati, Skoda, Seat, Cupra and Volkswagen, with Frank’s son Gary as chairman and grandson Jamie as Managing Director.
Jamie Vindis said: “Although we are well acquainted with Manheim and Cox Automotive through our remarketing work, agreeing to have MVS take on this PDI contract was an entirely new direction for us.
“However, I’m delighted to get this deal done as the location, staff and facilities at MVS Wyton are second to none. Vindis, together with our many fleet customers will benefit from this new agreement and we are all very confident it’s the beginning of a long and meaningful partnership with Manheim Vehicle Services.”
