We thank our team members for their incredible work today preparing for closure, and our customers for their cooperation.

Message from Martin Forbes, CEO

Firstly, and most importantly, I hope that you and your families are well given the challenging environment we find ourselves in.

I know everyone is saying that it is an unprecedented time. It is. This is a fast-moving situation and we’re all acting swiftly to do what’s right for our people, customers and businesses

We will continue to follow the UK Government advice. Above all, the health and well-being of team members remains our top priority.

Following the latest guidance (as of 23rd March), we are now in the process of closing all of our physical locations, including our Manheim auction and vehicle services sites.

Cox Automotive remains open for business. Our teams throughout or Manheim, Dealer Auction, NextGear Capital and Modix businesses are working remotely, are collaborating constantly and working as diligently and quickly as they can to help our customers.

We have taken decisive action since this pandemic began and I am immensely proud of how people from every part of Cox Automotive UK have pulled together in incredibly challenging circumstances.

We were first in the industry to move our auction business fully online. We have implemented a range of financial and policy changes, all with helping our customers in mind. We are guided by our value of “Do the Right Thing” and will continue to do so.

We take comfort from the fact Cox Automotive UK is a strong business. We are part of a large global family corporation that cares about its people. We will do everything in our powers to get through this together and we will get through this. We will be there for our customers when they’re ready to return to normal.

We will continue to share information with you as and when we have it.

Please keep yourself and your families safe.

Martin Forbes

CEO, Cox Automotive UK
