Auction Plus extends remarketing contract with Manheim until 2025
The South-East’s largest vehicle broker, Auction Plus, has agreed a new four-year extension to its decade-long partnership with global vehicle remarketing provider Manheim.
The new agreement covers up to 750 units per year, inclusive of both passenger car and light commercial vehicles passing through Manheim’s Colchester auction centre. It takes the relationship between the two businesses up until 2025. Over the past ten years, Manheim has resold more than 15,000 vehicles from Auction Plus.
Chris Hodgkinson, director of Auction Plus said, “A decade in partnership and the success this has brought to both businesses is the primary reason why we’ve gladly extended our contract with Manheim for another four years.
“We work well with Manheim and I like to think they believe the same of us, so we look forward to continuing to work with them up until 2025 at the earliest.”
Auction Plus was set up to provide both large and small motor dealers with the opportunity to sell vehicles at auction, a service it has provided to the South-East for more than 14 years. For the past 12 years, the business has disposed of more than 1,500 units annually, with close relationships to auction houses and large volume selling helping to attract stock buyer interest.
James Leese, chief customer office at Cox Automotive commented: “The directors at Auction Plus have always been a pleasure to work with, bringing to the table their 60 years of combined experience in vehicle disposal. The strength of our relationship built over many years will only grow stronger as this contract extensions sees us through to the mid-2020s.
“Manheim auctions tens of thousands of used vehicles every year and without trusted partners like Auction Plus and the many dealerships we represent, this simply wouldn’t be possible.”
