Manheim and Novuna Vehicle Solutions celebrate successful physical auction event
Manheim Auction Services is celebrating the success of a premium offsite light commercial vehicle (LCV) auction held on behalf of customer Novuna Vehicle Solutions. The event, which was held at Novuna’s head office in Trowbridge, netted a total sales value of £2.4 million, with one buyer flying in from Dubai especially for the auction.
Turnout was high, with buyers keen to return to a physical setting after three years away from physical auction halls. In total, 150 premium light commercial vehicles (LCVs) went under the hammer, representing Manheim’s largest offsite premium LCV sale to date.
Matthew Davock, Director of Commercial Vehicles at Cox Automotive, commented: “It was an incredible triumph, with lots of interest in stock – on average people spent 53 minutes browsing. It demonstrates the true scale of demand for high quality premium LCV units.”
Additionally, 104% of CAP clean performance was recorded, with bids made both physically and via Manheim’s Simulcast virtual auction platform.
Dylan Thomas, Auction Manager at Novuna Vehicle Solutions, added: “This was the sixth major auction event that Manheim has held on our behalf, and the most successful to date. To record 104% of CAP and take £2.4 million on the day is a great achievement and bodes well for future auctions.”
The event also generated £7.5k for the Alzheimer’s Society with both Manheim and Novuna donating £25 each for every vehicle sold. The funds will aid ground-breaking medical research and critical support for people living with dementia.
The charity was close to the heart of James Davis, Manheim’s Customer Insight Director for Commercial Vehicles, who passed away in July 2021. Davis was well known for his enthusiasm for cars, and owned a 1959 MG A Series, which he often used to raise significant funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
