BMW returns to Manheim Colchester for unique 1,000-car sale
Manheim Colchester will once again host a unique 1,000-car sale for BMW in its unique four-lane auction centre on Monday 8th February. The first 1,000-vehicle sale took place in 2012 and at last year’s event, Manheim achieved a 100% conversion rate, selling every single car for a total combined value of around £25 million.
The special event will include a wide range of ex-fleet BMW and MINI models from BMW Group, to fit a variety of budgets and stock profiles. The vehicles offered for sale across the four auction lanes will also be available for remote buyers via Manheim’s online bidding platform, Simulcast.Manheim’s four-lane auction centre in Colchester is unique in the UK and was the first of its kind in Europe. It is the only remarketing facility in the country capable of hosting a vehicle sale of this size.
Tim Hudson, managing director of Manheim Remarketing, said: “The annual 1,000-car BMW sale is a star event in our auctions programme, attracting a huge number of buyers – both in lane and online – all eager to get hold of the very best BMW and MINI stock. Last year’s sale delivered an incredible 100% conversion rate, so that is our target for this year.”
